Library and Computer Center
A partnership in service program with the rotary club of Makati

Build a Library & Computer Center for the LAKAS National High School in Bihawo, Botolan, Zambales
The First for the Aetas of Botolan
Last July, the Rotary Club of Makati led by President Fred Pascual and IPP Jun Dayrit and the Rotary Club of Makati North President Dodji Libatique, visited the LAKAS Aetas of Botolan.

They were impressed with the Aetas’ initiative to have their own Indigenous Peoples Education as approved by DepEd and now with their own high school in their village. They were also saddened with their lack of a library and computer center.
As we all know, “Books Across the Seas” as well as donors have poured books to them over the past decades. What used to be their library is now the faculty room for lack of facilities.

The Aeta Elders have unanimously voted to have a portion of their land beside the faculty room available to build the “Computer Center & Library”.
Envisioned as a one-storey building measuring 7.0 meters x 12.0 meters and built through RCM’s “Partnership in Service Program” wherein RCM provides P200,000 and RCMN counter funds with P40,000. The LAKAS Aetas will provide the filling materials of rocks and gravel to

Elevate the location.
